One of the most common souvenirs supporters take away from political rallies is bumper stickers. These two stickers were gathered from events that took place during the 1996 presidential campaign cycle. Bumper stickers actually got their start in 1946. A Kansas City printer, Forest P. Gill, had a surplus of adhesive-baked paper and fluorescent paint. He also had an inventive imagination, and the bumper sticker was born. The first presidential bumper sticker didn’t appear until the Eisenhower/Stevenson contest of 1952.
