These tickets were issued for John F. Kennedy’s speech at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on July 19, 1960. The event followed Kennedy’s nomination as the Democratic Presidential candidate. The 1960 Democratic convention was held next door to the Coliseum at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.

The speech introduced Kennedy’s “New Frontier”. The Senator said, “The New Frontier of which I speak is not a set of promises — it is a set of challenges. It sums up not what I intend to offer the American people, but what I intend to ask of them.”
