Description

These are the radio and television credentials necessary to gain access to the San Diego Convention Center during the Republican National Convention, which was held August 12-15, 1996. It was the first Republican National Convention in Southern California and hosted an estimated 12,000 to 15,000 members of the media.

The event went off as scripted and Senator Bob Dole and his running mate, Jack Kemp, were nominated on the first ballot.
