Description

On October 6, 1981, President Anwar El-Sadat of Egypt was assassinated. President Ronald Reagan asked former Presidents Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and Richard Nixon to represent the United States at the funeral.

The four men met at the White House prior to the trip. This photo was taken on that occasion. It was subsequently hand-signed by all four individuals.
